Friday, September 3,2021, was a day of double joy for Nsangi Magistrates Court as they moved to new premises and also got to engage stakeholders in the justice system.

Prior to moving into their new rented premises, the Court was sharing a building with the town council.

The new court premises are more spacious and have a perimeter wall-fence which makes it easy to track all those who access the Court.

During the District Chain-linked Committee meeting, different stakeholders including office of RDC, the Mayor Nsangi, and LCs appreciated the Judiciary for deploying hardworking judicial officers to Nsangi Court. The Court is run by Magistrates Grade One, HW Carol Kabugho and HW Pamela Bomukama.

The Kyengera Town Council Mayor, Mr Mathias Walukagga, pledged to support the Court whenever need arises.

The Magistrates, together with the Resident State Attorney, Mr George Kunihira, used the platform to train the Local Council leaders on land justice with an emphasis on the duties of Local Council courts when handling land matters.

The meeting was crowned with a cocktail to congratulate the Court on acquiring independent premises.
