Stakeholders at the Administration of Justice Programme Implementation Action Plan Meeting
In a concerted effort to align with the National Development Plan (NDPIV) for the period 2025/26-2029/30, the Administration of Justice Programme is currently holding a residential workshop aimed at fast-tracking the preparation of its Programme Implementation Action Plan (PIAP).
The event, which began on Monday, 24th June, 2024, is being held at the Imperial Golf View Hotel in Entebbe and will run until Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
The workshop is a response to the Planning Call Circular and Strategic Direction for NDPIV issued by the National Planning Authority (NPA) to guide Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the preparation of their PIAPs to ensure cohesive and comprehensive planning across various sectors.
Participating MDAs include the Judiciary (lead institution), Ministry of Gender, Labor, and Social Development, Ministry of Internal Affairs - Directorate of Community Service, Uganda Prisons Service, National Planning Authority, Law Development Centre, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Ministry of Local Government, Judicial Service Commission, Ministry of Justice & Constitutional Affairs, Tax Appeals Tribunal, Directorate of Government Analytical Laboratory, and Justice Centers Uganda.
These stakeholders will collaborate to complete the Programme Chapter for the Administration of Justice, which will be incorporated into NDPIV. The focus will be on ensuring that the administration of Justice priorities are clearly articulated and aligned with the National Development Plan objectives.
