Justice Adonyo Recognized for Offering Effective and Efficient Leadership in Data Management

At the just concluded Quarterly Performance Review Retreat for Heads of Divisions and Circuits, Justice Dr. Henry Peter Adonyo, received a certificate in recognition of his leadership in data management at Soroti High Court circuit.
The award ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Chief Justice, Justice Richard Buteera.
The award was spiced up with a cake that was cut to celebrate Justice Adonyo's 65th birthday as well as clocking his mandatory retirement. At the same event, a birthday card signed by all Judges at the Retreat as well as the Deputy Chief Justice and Principal Judge was presented to Justice Adonyo.
On his own part, Justice Adonyo expressed gratitude and thanked the Judiciary family for their unwavering support that saw him successfully complete his judicial career.
Speaker after speaker commended him for leaving an indelible mark wherever he journeyed in his judicial career.
The Deputy Chief Justice, Justice Richard Buteera, remarked that "it was a pleasure that one of us is retiring honorably."
Commenting on Justice Adonyo's judicial journey, the Deputy Chief Justice recounted how he had worked with Justice Adonyo as a Magistrate, a Registrar with his overall assessment of Justice Adonyo as a star performer in the JLOS sector.
Justice Adonyo chaired the first ever court case census conducted in December 2015.
The DCJ commended the Justice Adonyo for being a hands officer who knew the performance of each Judicial Officer in his circuit.
The Principal Judge, Dr Flavian Zeija echoed the words of the Deputy Chief Justice and thanked Justice Adonyo for his stellar performance and urged all the other Judges to consult and emulate him for his innovations including having a clean data record at his court station.
"Every quarterly review, he has been here making reports. At the last Retreat, I asked you to consult him on how he does his things. You have also observed here for yourself. His system is clean and both the digital and physical record tally," retorted the Principal Judge.
Court of Appeal's Justice Cheborion Barishaki, a classmate of Justice Adonyo, described him as a nice person who was instrumental in dealing with donors during JLOS meetings.
Lady Justice Dr Winifred Nabisinde commended Justice Adonyo for being a very dedicated Judicial Officer who was leaving a good footprint in the Judiciary.
Justice Henry Isabirye Kawesa commended Justice Adonyo for his during his stint as a Registrar at the registry of Planning that culminated into the creation of the now famous DCCs(District Chain-linked Committees).
Justice Vincent Emmy Mugabo thanked Justice Adonyo for mentorship and said it was a privilege to have gone through his hands
