Lady Justice Babirye Hands Over Office to New Deputy Registrar

Earlier, Lady Justice Mary Babirye, Judge of the High Court and outgoing Deputy Registrar of the Supreme Court, formally handed over office to HW Akullo Elizabeth Ogwal, the incoming Deputy Registrar. 

Before her transfer to the Supreme Court, HW Akullo was working with the Registry of Magistrates Affairs and Data Management.

During the handover, Lady Justice Babirye welcomed HW Akullo and shared the office's status, including its achievements, challenges, and workload. She also handed over essential tools of service, including a stamp, files, seal, registers, and reports.

HW Ayebare Thadius Tumwebaze(Registrar Supreme Court) welcomed the new Deputy Registrar and assured her that she had the best posting. He promised her his full support to help her achieve her best.

HW Tumwebaze also noted that the Court is a busy station requiring dedication and hard work. He further pointed out plans to start a Mediation Registry were underway, and that that should be her "new child" to deliver. 

He wished Justice Babirye and Her Worship Akullo the best of luck in their new tour of duty.

The handover was witnessed by Ms. Dorcas Kahiigi, Office Supervisor Supreme Court.
