Judicial Calender

Courts are open in November Court Vacation begins on 23rd December-07th January(inclusive).
\r\n Court Vacation Mid-year 15th july-15th August(inclusive).
\r\n However it does not mean that courts are totally closed.

\r\n

No civil cases are heard during this period, however judges who are not on official leave remain to do chamber work like writing judgments and doing research.

\r\n

Criminal work is concentrated upon since it concerns the right to freedom of the accused persons.

\r\n

There is always a judge on duty during court vacation to handle emergencies.
\r\n
